What’s The “Armoured” Christian To Do”

Armour is defensive, like an armoured car, not offensive like an armed policeman. So what weapons do we have after we’ve put on the whole armour of God (not our own armour, note) and when do we get the weapons that are not carnal the Bible requires? While we haven’t all quite grasped it yet, the most powerful weapon on earth is the prayer of a righteous man. That would be one or many in the Known will of God, operating in His Spirit bringing us into all Truth so we can actually “pray in the Spirit”. Why we discount this so readily and reach for our carnal weapons as a back up instead is a mystery. the command is, “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere” Eph. 6:18 NLT.  Hmmm, maybe it’s that last part, after we’ve prayed for everything for ourselves that we neglect “all believers everywhere”. That would of course include those sects, denominations and groups that see things differently than we do. Check yourself next time and see who you might have left out and pray fervently for those facing persecution.  Watchman
